The Jane Goodall Institute has partnered with Apple TV+ and Sinking Ship Entertainment to launch the children's television series 'Jane'.

The show launches on 14 April on Apple TV+. They describe the show as “A new 10-episode mission-driven series for kids and families inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall.”

The show is a live-action/CGI blended series based on the story of Jane Garcia (Ava Louise Murchisona), a nine-year-old budding environmentalist on a quest to save endangered animals with friends David (Mason Blomberg) and Greybeard the chimpanzee. Using her powerful imagination, Jane and her friends embark on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world because, according to her idol Dr. Jane Goodall: “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.”

On the series, Dr. Jane Goodall states: “I’m excited about this opportunity and relationship with Apple and Sinking Ship. The program ‘Jane’ spreads a message of hope and reminds children that the environment is something that we all have to be concerned about while also inspiring them and their parents to make a difference.”

This show was made possible through the work of award-winning J.J from SSE, and colleagues from across our global network, led by Andria Teather from JGI Global.
