Einladung:
We are delighted to invite you and your students to the Inaugural Roots & Shoots Meet-Up for International Schools, taking place on 29 September 2026, from 10:00 to 15:00, at the International School of Geneva.
This special gathering brings together students, educators, and school communities who are passionate about making a positive impact through the Roots & Shoots programme. The day will celebrate student-led action, collaboration, and the shared commitment to creating a better world for people, animals, and the environment.
What to expect:
- Inspiring student workshops designed to encourage creativity, leadership, and action
- Dedicated professional workshops for educators about Roots & Shoots and how to get started
- Opportunities for schools to present their projects and exchange ideas
- A vibrant, informal atmosphere for meeting, networking, and community-building
Schools that wish to showcase their initiatives will have the opportunity to host a market stall to present their Roots & Shoots projects. We warmly encourage active groups to share their experiences and inspire others.
Importantly, participation is open to everyone:
- Schools with established Roots & Shoots groups
- Schools interested in starting a group
- Educators who would like to attend only the professional workshop
For schools that are unable to join us in person, we will also offer an online session for project presentations, enabling worldwide participation.
This event is jointly organised by the International School of Geneva and the Jane Goodall Institute Switzerland and aims to strengthen connections between international schools while empowering young changemakers.
We would be thrilled to welcome your school to this inaugural gathering.
