Zurich International School runs a very successfull Roots & Shoots club with 4th and 5th graders, who do projects to help people, animals and the environment:
On November 14th , the Lower School ATAC Roots and Shoots group launched their «Trash in our Boots» campaign, aimed at raising awareness about the amount of litter left behind in the playgrounds and encouraging students to clean up after recess. Throughout the day, the Roots and Shoots team visited all the playgrounds, counting the amount of trash left by students. Additionally, group members visited classrooms to share important information about the campaign, offering tips on how to be more environmentally friendly and reduce waste. As a result, Grade 3 students earned the ECO Warriors award for doing the best job of keeping their playground clean. The event was a great success, helping to inspire a cleaner, more sustainable school environment.
